RESEARCH: 2019
In 2019 I began an extended period of research investigating resistance, materiality, and subjectivity. The creative research responded to skilled making and also to places, in nature and the everyday that afforded moments of reflection.
The central themes of the enquiry were the importance of making, the notion of place, and the exploration of steel as the connective tissue between them.
The research was conducted through The University of South Australia toward the attainment of a PhD in Visual Art.
